Bosch expands its Budapest Engineering Center with an investment of 120 million euros.
Bosch has been present in Hungary since 1889, and in these nearly 120 years, the company evolved into a significant group which is one of the largest foreign employers in Hungary. The Budapest Engineering Center, which is active since 2005, is more and more significant as the location of Bosch’s worldwide development work, and with its more than 24 departments and more than 2400 employees, it has become the second biggest European R&D site after Bosch’s German unit.
The new Bosch campus will be built on a total of 90,000 square metres, in two phases and will be able to host 1800 employees. The new building is going to house creative spaces, innovation zones, relaxation areas, a conference room and an employee cafeteria will also be built.
Laboratories will also be constructed during the first phase, by the year of 2021. The new, green-roof campus and the present campus building that opened five years ago will be connected by a footbridge.
