Romanian Prime Minister to Resign After Feud with Party Boss

Romania’s Prime Minister Mihai Tudose has resigned after a meeting with his party where the party boss officially withdrew his support to Tudose.The meeting took place on Monday (15th of January) in Bucharest, Romania. After the meeting Mihai Tudose confirmed his resignation. He also stated that he had been a disciplined member of the Social Democrats – PSD -, the party had trusted him. Now, he is removed from his post, however it does not mean that he is leaving PSD.

The resignation of Tudose gives a chance to his right-wing rival Klaus Iohannis.

The resignation of Mihai Tudose will officially be announced on Tuesday (16th of January).
