Two trucks loaded with fake clothes

Local News

The two trucks loaded with counterfeit clothes worth 45 million forints arrived to Hungary one after the other and ran into the hands of the NAV officers near Debrecen.

The loads of the trucks of Romanian and Polish nationality became suspicious to the finance officers on duty. The vehicles had set off from Turkey and were on their way to Poland, carrying general apparel products according to their documents. On closer examination, however, the nearly 20.000 pieces of clothing all proved to be false. The adult and child clothing products with counterfeit Tommy Hilfiger, Emporio Armani, Adidas, Nike, HelloKitty, Guess, Ferrari, Gucci trademarks (T-shirts, shirts, pullovers, jackets, jeans, trousers, shorts) and the products with the official logos of the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship differ significantly from the original products in quality, even on simple visual inspection. The officers seized the load of the trucks and initiated proceedings.
