The University of Debrecen could be the biggest higher educational institution in Hungary, if the merger with the Károly Róbert University College comes true.
Both senates of the two institutions have voted to merge, says Zoltán Szilvássy, Rector of the University of Debrecen. If the ministry supports the integration, the Károly Róbert University College of Gyöngyös becomes the Károly Róbert University Faculty of the University of Debrecen.
The main advantage of the fusion is the introduction of novelties in agricultural tourism, health tourism and vine-growing.
