Customs police confiscated 16.000 packs of cigarettes and 10 kg tobacco

The customs police have found 16.000 packs of cigarettes and 10 kg of tobacco in a vehicle and in two garages in Debrecen.

The customs police checked a suspicious vehicle in Debrecen. During the checking, 1500 packs of cigarettes and 1 kg of tobacco were found and confiscated.

Two remote controls were also found in the car; one of them belonged to a garage where 14.000 packs of cigarettes and more than 8 kg of tobacco were hidden. The other remote control opened another garage, where the police have found another 600 packs of cigarettes.

The customs police have confiscated the 16.000 packs and 10 kg of tobacco that cost more than 15 million Forints.

Procedures were initiated against the owners of the vehicle and the garages.
