Euphorbia myrsinites at the zoo

The myrtle spurge (Euphorbia myrsinites) is a succulent species wich native at the mediterranean region, curiosity is that from spring to autumn it have many different form, so it’s appearance always suprise in store.

Their inflorescences is magicallly special because the plant is evergreen, the petal is missing so it’s typically a greenish flowers. As its name refers, the plant has milky juice that is toxic. You can meet the myrtle spurge at the Debrecen Zoo and Botanic Garden next to the African Aviary.
