In the ceremony, János Halász, State Secretary at the Ministry of National Resources spoke about the values and importance of great teachers. 

Among university teachers, 4 people from the University of Debrecen were awarded: Etelka Farkas (Vice-Dean of Education in the Faculty of Science and Technology) and András Jávor, (Vice-Rector of Education in the University of Debrecen) were awarded with Szent-Györgyi Albert Award, János Kátai (Dean of the University of Debrecen) and Zoltán Tóth (Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology) with Apáczai Csere János Award.
