Colonel Richárd Bakk was officially inaugurated as the new police chief of Hajdú-Bihar County at a ceremonial staff meeting on Wednesday, attended by National Police Chief Tamás Mecser.
According to the decision of the Minister of the Interior, which was presented to the police staff, the leadership appointment of Colonel Zoltán Illés, the former police chief, was revoked effective August 31, and Richárd Bakk was appointed to perform the duties of county police chief as of September 1.
During the staff meeting, Zoltán Illés handed over the unit flag of the Hajdú-Bihar County Police Headquarters to the newly appointed police chief, Richárd Bakk.
According to MTI information, Colonel Zoltán Illés will continue to serve as deputy police chief and director of criminal investigations at the Hajdú-Bihar County Police Headquarters.
