Police recently used a drone to monitor traffic at railway crossings in Debrecen. At one location, officers had to take action against four drivers within a short period, all of whom drove onto the tracks despite the red warning signal.
According to a post on the police’s social media page, further drone-based traffic checks can be expected in Debrecen and the surrounding area in the near future, particularly at busy intersections, junctions and roads leading out of the city. Police will monitor not only drivers ignoring red signals, but also other traffic violations.
