An 18-year-old woman and her 20-year-old boyfriend robbed a taxi driver in Debrecen on 2 November.
A taxi driver called the police on 2 November 2017 that a young couple stole 56.000 Forints from him. According to the available information, the woman distracted the taxi driver, while the man stole his wallet and then they ran away.
After a thorough investigation, the police have managed to identify the couple; the 18-year-old woman and her 20-year-old boyfriend were taken to the Debrecen police station.
Procedures were initiated against Mária N. and József B. on reasonable suspicion of theft. The cash was given back to the taxi driver.
