Waste caught fire near a building under renovation at Medgyessy sétány in Debrecen on Monday afternoon, with the flames spreading to the roof structure of the property.
Professional and volunteer firefighters from Debrecen tackled the blaze with five water jets and a water cannon, preventing the fire from spreading further before extinguishing the flames.
The firefighting operation was coordinated by the Hajdú-Bihar County Disaster Management Directorate’s operations service and was also supported by a water tanker.
