A fire broke out at a pizza manufacturing facility on Madár utca near Debrecen early Thursday morning.
The extraction system of an oven caught fire at the plant, located close to the 5-kilometre mark of Route 471. Two fire engines and a water tanker from the Debrecen professional fire brigade were dispatched to the scene.
By the time firefighters arrived, employees had already extinguished the flames. The crews are now inspecting and dismantling parts of the ventilation system to ensure there is no remaining risk.
At the time the fire started, 49 people were inside the building. Everyone managed to leave the premises safely.
