Deputy Mayor Lajos Barcsa has recently been paying close attention to residents’ complaints. This time, he has raised concerns related to Wolt food delivery riders.
Several complaints from residents have reached him regarding the Wolt food delivery hub operating in the Vénkert district, prompting him to meet with the company’s local management.
According to Barcsa, residents mainly complained about illegally parked vehicles, scooters riding on sidewalks, and smoking in public areas.
“I clearly communicated these concerns to the company’s representatives,” Barcsa wrote on his social media page.
He emphasized that road safety is a shared responsibility and said he had asked the city’s public area supervisors to increase inspections in the affected area.
In addition, Barcsa proposed organizing English-language Hungarian traffic code (KRESZ) training for foreign delivery riders in cooperation with Wolt and the police, aiming to improve traffic safety and help riders better understand local road regulations.
