Lord of the dance is a magical adventure that take the audience to a mythical place and time capturing the experiences. The combination of the dancing, art lighting and pyrotechnics and the music leaves no one untouched. The story is based on Irish folklore telling a classic tale of Good and Evil. The Little Spirit travels through time to help Lord of the Dance to protect his people from the Dark Lord.The Evil challenges the hero which showsthe spectacular universe of love, danger and desire.
Michael Flatleyhas formed two groups of professional dancers, the first one is making an european tour and visiting Debrecen, while the other one is currently touring the US.
Michael Ryan Flatley was born in 1958 in Chicago, USA. He began dancing at the age of 11 and was the first non-European resident to win the All-Ireland World Championship for
Irish Dance in 1975.
After graduating from high school he opened his first dance school south side of Chicago.
He created the choreographyfor Riverdance which led to an international success in the interval of the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest. He developed a full show from the originally seven minute act. After he produced, directed and choreographed Lord of the dance, Feet of flamesand Celtic Tiger shows. From this autumn he himself will be on stage again.
