A lightning stroke the Debrecen-London Wizz Air flight last Friday, which prevented the plane from taking off to London on time.
Representative of the airline Lilla Simon-Nagy said that the airplane had been struck on its arrival to Debrecen. She added that the passengers had been given lunch and that the plane had taken off as soon as the Wizz Air engineers finished the safety check ups. The flight should have taken off at 10.10 am but the passengers couldn’t board the plane on time. Finally, the flight set off at 3.35 pm. “The airline apologized to the passengers but it regarded safety as the most important factor.” – Lilla Simon-Nagy explained.
