Stormy Weather in Hungary: Four People Died

Four people died in Dombóvár yesterday (8th of June) when a tree fell on their car.Stormy weather in Hungary has already had four victims: a 40-metre-tall tree fell on a car in Dombóvár. Five people were sitting in the car, four of them died in the accident.

Firefighters were alerted because of the thunderstorms all over the country, especially, in the southwestern part of Hungary.

Police.hu reported that because of the bad weather there was no power supply in several towns and villages in Tolna and Zala counties including Lenti, Zalalövő, Belsősárd, Bödeháza, Vállus, Várvölgy, Zalaszántó, Hagyárosbörönd, Türje, Zalacséb, Szombathely, Celldömölk, Sárvár and Szentgotthárd.

According to OMSZ, on Saturday (9th of June) there are going to be storms and heavy rainfall all over the country. There is a second degree weather alert issued in Bács-Kiskun, Békés and Csongrád counties, while first degree weather alert has been issued in Budapest, Pest, Baranya, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Fejér, Győr-Moson-Sopron, Hajdú-Bihar, Heves, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok, Komárom-Esztergom, Nógrád, Somogy, Tolna, Vas, Veszprém and Zala counties.

The temperature today is going to be between 20 and 32 Celsius.
