Record breaking warm weather predicted for next week

Stormy wind and warm weather are predicted for next week.

According to the Hungarian Meteorology Service, the highest temperatures could hit 18 Celsius degrees in the first part of the week; in the second part, sleet and snow are expected.

On Monday, stormy wind is expected in the country. Second-degree weather alerts were issued in Győr-Moson-Sopron and Vas counties and first-degree alerts were issued in Fejér, Komárom-Esztergom, Veszprém and Zala counties. The lowest temperatures will be 5 and -5 Celsius degrees and the highest will be 9-14 Celsius degrees.

Tuesday will also be windy. The lowest temperatures will be 2-5 Celsius degrees and the highest could hit 13-18 Celsius degrees.

On Wednesday, rain and wind are expected. At night, there will be 1-7 Celsius degrees, while during the day there will be 3-8 Celsius degrees.

Fog is expected on Thursday. The lowest temperatures will be 3 and -3 Celsius degrees and the highest will be 5-11 Celsius degrees.

Friday and Saturday will be cloudy and rainy. At night, there will be 2-8 Celsius degrees and during the day 6-11 Celsius degrees are expected.

On Sunday, snow is expected in some regions of the country. The lowest temperatures will be -2 and -3 Celsius degrees and the highest will be 0-5 Celsius degrees.
