The student workshop organized at the Agóra for high school girls on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science concluded with great success, with 15 participants attending. The online particle hunt will continue on Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Agóra Science Experience Center.
Applications are now open for the international event called CERN Masterclass, welcoming boys and girls in grades 10–13 who are interested in physics, particle physics, and accelerators, and who would like to gain insight into the work of CERN.
The joint event organized by the Faculty of Informatics at the University of Debrecen and the Agóra Science Experience Center aims to promote the natural sciences and strengthen young people’s commitment to these fields. Viktória Borbélyné Dr. Bacsó, Managing Director of the Agóra, emphasized: “One of the missions of the experience center is to serve as a bridge between high school students and the University of Debrecen, supporting career orientation and promoting engineering careers.”
The international particle hunt, starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026, will be held online. Detailed program information and the registration form are available on the Agóra’s website.
