Algerian intruders caught near Debrecen

The two men were hiding on a train and were discovered by the conductor.

On Monday morning, a conductor found two foreigners hiding on a train that was going to Debrecen. They didn’t have any valid tickets so the conductor asked for the help of the police. The two men couldn’t prove their identities and didn’t have any documents that confirmed that their stay in Hungary was legal. On searching their clothes and luggage, the policemen found documents issued by the Romanian asylum authorities. The papers revealed that the 35 and 16-year old men were from Algeria. They had applied for a refugee status in Romania therefore, following their interrogation they were expelled from Hungary and handed over to the Romanian authorities.
