Residents of 33 settlements of 8 counties had to protect themselves against flood and inland waters yesterday.
145 thousands acres were overflew by Monday morning, from which 63 thousands acres are plough-lands. The most serious flood was in Zala County, where the Kerka Stream overflew Lovász.
Flood prevention is on alert in Hajdú-Bihar County, since water level of Hortobágy-Berettyó has risen during the weekend; its current level is 438 centimeters.
