A new lion arrives at the Debrecen Zoo and Theme Park this week.
The zoo was under quarantine because of the death of three animals, an 18 year old lion which died of anthrax, a leopard killed by pneumonia and a young giraffe perished for twisted bowel. After the whole territory was disinfected and all the animals and employees were vaccinated, the zoo opened again on 29 April.
On 11 May two red pandas arrived from France and now a 6 year old lion comes from Slovakia.
