Meet Spanish and Polish Culture in English Skills Development

As part of giving space to local NGOs American Corner Debrecen is hosting two workshops by EVS volunteers at Fresh Oxygen Foundation who are regular volunteers and members at American Corner events.

Do you want to spend a funny time while learning about Poland and Spain? Are you interested in meeting different cultures and new people?

So, come to American Corner and join this workshop. You will be introduced to Spain and Poland in a different way, using Non-formal Education methods. We want to share useful, practical knowledge about our native countries and show you that Europe and the world is a big community. Even though every single country is so different we can find similarities and common values. We want you to create your own learning process, interacting with other participants.We can guarantee loads of fun and a little surprise at the end of the session!!!

 

NOTE: For all ages.

No previous knowledge of Spanish and Polish languages (basic knowledge of English is needed).

Join us on 24th March (Thursday) 5 – 7p.m.

INTRODUCTION OF THE FACILITATORS:

Gisela comes from Canary Islands, Spain. She studies Social and Cultural Anthropology. Two years ago she started attending courses related to working with teenagers. Last year she discovered Erasmus+ Programme, by participating in several Youth Exchanges and Training Courses. Then she realized that working with young people is her passion. Last summer she was a Youth Leader of the Spanish group in a Youth Exchange in Prague, and also she was Activities’ Manager in a youth exchange that took place in Tenerife. Right now she is doing her EVS in Debrecen. Her aims after going back home are writing down a training course project in Tenerife and creating an EVS hosting organisation in Morocco as well.

Paulina is from Poland. Last year she decided to take a break from university, experience different part of life and look for her own path. She has been traveling, working and taking part in Youth Exchanges. She realized that her passion is working with people, she has to be in a move for all the time. She loves sport (swimming, rollerblades, running, snowboarding), but also she is interested in media, crafts and design. She is very happy to be a part of EVS in Debrecen in Fresh Oxygen Foundation. Her plans for the future is to continue discovering herself and the world.
