In continuation and further broadening of a tradition, this year’s Bear Festival will take place between February 2nd and 5th, with a total of four days of roaring events and activities for the very first time.
The opening day will see a folk-tradition-inspired weather forecast featuring the zoo’s Asian black bear as their way of determining how long till the end of winter. Those of you interested in all things ursid – and even some iconic zoo residents that are only namesakes to true bears in Hungarian like coatis and red pandas – are invited to an interactive guided tour, but all are sure to find their favorite things to see and do among festivities like a bear dance, puppet show, children’s concert as well as thematic games, family photo opportunities, and an arts-and-crafts corner to indulge those of you feeling creative.
All events and activities are free of charge for zoo visitors. Full program can be found at:
The zoo is giving away 5 single Zoo Passes, reedeemable during this year’s Bear Festival.
