For the first time this year, temperatures in Hungary exceeded 25 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, making it the first official summer day of the year, according to a Facebook post by HungaroMet Zrt.
A “summer day” is defined as a day when the maximum temperature surpasses 25 degrees Celsius.
According to an infographic included in the post, a temperature of 26.1 degrees Celsius was recorded late Wednesday morning at the Hattyús-szék meteorological station in Fülöpháza, Bács-Kiskun County.
In 2024, the temperature first reached at least 25 degrees Celsius on March 30.
