Shigekazu Nagata, Japanese scientific research professor holds a lecture in the hall of the main building of the University of Debrecen, 7 December 2012. The Debrecen Award for Molecular Medicine was awarded to Professor Shigekazu Nagata, whose research finding is a milestone in the understanding of (apoptotic) cell death program. Based on his research it was possible to develop a number of new therapeutic strategies for cancer treatment.
