Local government of Debrecen spends 222 million HuF on the improvement of public lightning in the city with the help of two financial sources.
Public lightning on many streets will be improved by 55 million HuF from local source. The streets are: Futó, Őrmester, Vályi Nagy Tibor, Vak Bottyán, Mák, Batthyány, Rizling, Sáfrány, Kéknyelű, Haláp Erdősor, Saláta, Nőszirom, Veker, Bánk Bükk, Gerle, Üdekert, Sirály, Cinege, Doboz, Olajfa, Rekettye, Cser zug, Erzsébet, Délibáb, Juhász Gyula, Cívis, Gönczi Pál, Sintelep, József, Hámfa, Lóskúti and Platán street. Furthermore, public lightning will also be extended in two bus stops: the bus stop on Vámospércsi street and the bus stop at Ondód.
Another financial source – 167 million HuF given by the European Union – will help to have 836 old lamps changed in the city. There will be new and modern led-lamps on 61 sites of the city. This change will result in 9 million HuF saving each year.
