Room (2015) – directed by Lenny Abrahamson – is about a kidnapped mother and son who manage to escape from their captor and try to settle into a new life.
The Canadian-Irish independent film premiered at the Telluride Film Festival in 2015 and it was nominated for four Academy Awards: Best Director, Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Actress (won).
