Europol seizes more than 20.000 domain names for selling fake goods

20.520 Internet domain names have been seized for selling counterfeit goods.

The press service of the Europol said that the operation was launched in 2014 and this year the number of blocked domains is much higher than in previous one.

The websites, that were blocked by the EU Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation, the US National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Centre and EU law enforcement agencies, were selling fake luxury items, sports clothes and electronic devices.
