In the summer period (March 21st – October 20th), the Botanical Garden of the University of Debrecen is open every day from 8 am to 6 pm, and the Pálma House is waiting for the visitors from 8 am to 3 pm.There are dozens of plant species in the botanical collection of the University of Debrecen, and most of them are blooming at the beginning of summer. The colorful plants are inviting for not only insects and bugs, but for birds, too, so you can enjoy the spectacular bird whistle if you visit the arboretum.
According to László Papp, diector of the botanical garden, after the dry months of March, April and May, the rainy days of recent weeks have improved a lot in the state of the plant collection.
