45 Years (2015) – directed by Andrew Haigh – is a story of an elderly couple who have been married for 45 years. Kate and Geoff are preparing for a reception celebrating their anniversary when a letter arrives saying that the body of Geoff’s long last love has been found in a melting glacier.

The movie was screened at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival where Charlotte Rampling won the Silver Bear for Best Actress and Tom Courtenay received the Silver Bear for Best Actor. At the 88th Academy Awards Rampling was also nominated for the award of the Best Actress in a Leading Role.
