Debrecen’s one and only mothers’ milk bank is closed on 31 December 2013.
In recent years, the number of those mothers who gave milk to the bank has drastically decreased. According to the statistics, in 2004 5.600 liters of milk came in, while in 2013 only 2300 liters. Thus, the mothers’ milk bank became a loss-making operation.
