The Menorah was lit at the corner of Piac Utca and Bajcsy-Zilinszky Utca on 17 December 2017.
László Papp, mayor of Debrecen, Tamás Horovitz, President of the Jewish Community of Debrecen and Slomó Köves, Executive Rabbi of EMIH Unified Hungarian Jewish Congregation participated at the Festival of Lights.
