Debrecen is getting ready for one of its biggest international cultural events — Halloween!
Puskás István, Deputy Mayor for Culture of Debrecen, highlighted that Halloween, originally from the United States, has become a truly global phenomenon — and in recent years, it has taken root right here in Debrecen as well.
“One of the biggest international cultural events is coming now. The Halloween from America is now a real global phenomenon, which for several years has been present even here in Debrecen, and even here in our zoo and culture park,” said Puskás István.
This year, both on Halloween night and the preceding Saturday, the Debrecen Zoo and Amusement Park will host a grand celebration filled with exciting and sometimes spooky programs. Families, children, tourists, and locals are all invited to take part in the festivities.
“The zoo is inviting all citizens and tourists — families and children — to join the big Halloween event with lots of attractions and interesting, sometimes scary programs,” added the deputy mayor.
From creative costumes and themed decorations to interactive activities and nighttime adventures, the event promises unforgettable moments for all ages.
As Puskás István put it:
“If you want to join us for Halloween, just come and experience the fun here in the Zoo Debrecen too.”
