National

Wizz Air introduced their new carry-on baggage rules on the 29th of October. From the 29th of October Wizz Air passengers can take one small carry-on baggage on board, but only if they have bought priority tickets beforehand.

According to Wizz Air CEO József Váradi, 120 carry-on baggages can be taken on board on an A320 airplane. In case 40 passengers have bought priority take-off tickets, then an additional 80 passengers can take their carry-on baggages on board, but only if they arrive to the airport in time and they are fast enough to buy the priority take-off tickets.

It is assumed that small handbags, which contain documents or important medicine, will not be considered as a second baggage, but it is highly questionable what the staff will say about the laptop bags or any other small handbags passengers want to take on board.

If someone feels that they have been treated unfairly, they may file a complaint. It is certain that if a passenger arrives to the airport with a 40x30x18 handbag, it can be taken on board.
