Weather: What to expect in the coming days

A cold spell is on the way this week. By Wednesday, daytime highs will only reach 11–16 °C, and nighttime frosts will return. Despite some cloud cover, several hours of sunshine are expected overall, with little to no precipitation and moderate winds, according to forecasts from HungaroMet Zrt.

Monday: Variable cloud cover with a few hours of sunshine. Light rain or showers may occur, mainly in northeastern and occasionally northwestern regions. Northwestern and western winds will become brisk in the western half of the country. The highest daytime temperatures will range between 14 °C and 20 °C.

Tuesday: After some sunshine among cirrus and cumulus clouds, skies will gradually turn cloudy from the north in the afternoon, with scattered light rain or showers possible. The northeast and north winds may pick up at times. Morning lows will range from 2 °C to 7 °C, dropping near 0 °C in clearer, frost-prone areas, while nights will be milder in cloudy regions. Daytime highs will be between 13 °C and 18 °C.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy weather is expected, with more heavily overcast periods in the first half of the day and only isolated light showers possible. Northern winds will remain mostly moderate. Early morning temperatures will range between 3 °C and 8 °C, with slight frost possible in clearer, colder spots, while afternoon highs will reach 11–16 °C.

Thursday: After morning fog and low clouds dissipate, mostly sunny weather with scattered cumulus clouds is expected, with no precipitation. Winds will be light or moderate. Morning temperatures will range from –1 °C to +6 °C, possibly slightly colder in frost-prone areas, and afternoon highs will be 11–16 °C.

Friday: Similar to Thursday, morning fog and low clouds will clear to yield mostly sunny weather with scattered clouds and no rain. Winds will stay light to moderate. Overnight lows will be between –1 °C and +6 °C, possibly a bit colder in some places, while daytime highs will reach 11–16 °C.

Saturday: Clouds will temporarily increase, and scattered rain or showers may occur. Northerly and northwesterly winds may become brisk at times. Temperatures will range from –1 °C to +7 °C in the morning and 12–18 °C during the day.

Sunday: After morning fog and low clouds lift, partly cloudy skies are expected without precipitation. Winds will remain moderate. Temperatures will range from –1 °C to +8 °C in the morning and 11–16 °C in the afternoon.
