Along with the milder weather, precipitation will also arrive, with freezing rain, rain, and sleet expected in several areas, according to the forecast of HungaroMet Nonprofit Zrt.
On Friday, the weather will remain mostly heavily cloudy or overcast, with locally misty conditions, though there may be areas with longer sunny intervals. Light precipitation may occur sporadically: light snowfall in the northeast, with an increasing chance of light freezing rain moving toward the southeast, and light rain where temperatures are above freezing. In parts of Northwestern Transdanubia, the easterly wind may pick up at times. The highest daytime temperatures will mostly range between minus 2 and plus 2 degrees Celsius, but higher values are possible in southeastern regions.
On Saturday, skies will again be mostly heavily cloudy or overcast. Rain is expected in many places, with freezing rain in some areas; freezing precipitation may occur in several locations until the morning and again from the evening. The easterly to southeasterly wind will occasionally strengthen. Temperatures will range from minus 5 to plus 1 degrees Celsius in the morning, and from minus 1 to plus 8 degrees in the early afternoon.
On Sunday morning, there will be both misty, foggy areas and regions with less cloud cover, but clouds will increase everywhere during the day. In the morning, a band of precipitation will move out of the country toward the northeast, bringing both rain and freezing rain. From late morning onward, rain will spread to more and more areas from the southwest, and sleet may occur in the Alpokalja region by evening. The southeasterly to easterly wind will strengthen in some places. Temperatures will likely range from minus 5 to plus 1 degrees Celsius in the morning, and from 1 to 9 degrees in the early afternoon.
