Two Hungarian and three Nigerian men sold marijuana at the university.

Bálint L., high school student was selling marijuana to three Nigerian university students. The Nigerians were buying not only for themselves but to create a clientele from other foreign students of the university. From 2014 until now, the three Nigerians sold more than 600 grams of marijuana for 49 people; most of their customers were British, Indian, Iraqi, Iranian, Israeli, Canadian, Norwegian, Swedish, Taiwanese and Turkish students.

The first trial was held in July; the indictment was dealing in narcotics as part of an organized group. Besides Bálint L., the Nigerian A.J. was also interrogated as the secondary co-defendant and he also made a confession.

A.J. was smoking marijuana since 2007; he met the third co-defendant, E.A.O. in 2010. The fourth co-defendant was the roommate of E.A.O.

The three Nigerians used the Internet to get in touch with their clients; marijuana was referred to as “book”, “chemistry” or “chemistry book” and they delivered it at the Institute of Chemistry for 2-3 thousands of Forints per grams. According to the indictment, A.J. sold 288 grams of marijuana, E.A.O. 222 grams and A.O.B. 108 grams.

The fifth co-defendant, Levente D. used to take drugs on Déri Tér. He became friends with Bálint L., who asked him to store the drugs in his apartment. Levente D. also took part in the distribution of marijuana.

The third trial in the case will be held on 6 October 2016.
