Massachussetts Institute of Technology Launches Health Research Program at the University of Debrecen

GE Healthcare announced that one of the leading universities in the world, Massachussetts Institute of Technology (MIT) launches a health research program at the University of Debrecen.

The MIT Catalyst program – aiming Phd students -, which has been successful in the United States for seven years, is launched in 2020 at the University of Debrecen in partnership with GE Healthcare. Digital medicine, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and sports medicine will be the key areas of the partnership.

The program brings together organizations of different profiles, and universities, hospitals and companies are also involved in the cooperation. Their goal is to work on projects that will later serve companies interested in the international health technology industry, such as GE’s health business, GE Healthcare.

Over the past seven years, 34 students have participated in the program, at four training centers, and they were assisted by fifty mentors.
