While in Győr and Kecskemét it is the car industry that increases the price of real estates, in Debrecen 30,000 university students do the same. According to the report by OTP Real Estate Section, 10-20 kilometers away from county capitals there are apartments available for half price.
Like survey results from last year show, Győr is the most expensive of Hungary’s county capitals with the price of 176,000 HUF/m2 while Debrecen is the second most expensive with 172,000 HUF/m2. According to the expectations, the housing market remains constant this year but next year will bring a boom.
