Before Christmas, an elderly man committed suicide at the Toldy Ferenc Hospital in Cegléd, Bors reported.
According to the newspaper, the man broke the window of his 4th-floor ward with an infusion stand and then threw himself into the depths. The staff searched for the patient for hours, but they could not find the man. His body was not found until the next morning, it was no longer possible to save his life, said Dezső Pusztai, general director of the hospital. He also stated that the hospital is conducting an internal investigation into the matter, and that they are unable to provide more information until it is completed.
According to the police, no crime is suspected.
