Sabi Tulok (Szabolcs Tulok) received the Emmy Award for the category ‘Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Nonfiction Program – 2024’ at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on September 7th at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

The ceremony traditionally marks the first night of the Emmy season, with another similar event to follow before the main awards show. Sabi Tulok participated as a Production Mixer in the making of *The Beach Boys* (Disney+), a documentary produced by Walt Disney Pictures.

The documentary celebrates the legendary band, the Beach Boys, who revolutionized pop music and created the iconic and harmonious sound that embodied the California dream.

The film traces the band’s humble family beginnings and includes never-before-seen footage and brand-new interviews with band members and other luminaries in the music industry.

At a private screening of the documentary in 2023, Brian Wilson, who suffers from schizoaffective disorder and mild manic depression, also appeared. Today, he is mostly able to communicate with the outside world through their old songs.

The Hungarian-born sound mixer has worked on commercials, feature films, documentaries, scripted and unscripted television/reality shows, and web series. His most notable works include *Blood Father* and *Don’t Let Go*.
