On the occassion of the 20th anniversary of the restart of reformed education in Hungary, a praise was held in the Reformed Great Church of Debrecen (i.e. the Yellow Church) on Saturday. In his speech, Gusztáv Bölcskei (bishop and the clerical president of the Synod of the Hungarian Reformed Church) reviewed the events of the last 20 years, when the number of institutes maintained by the reformed church has been changing and growing.

As Mayor Lajos Kósa said, an average church school can support a more stable foundation for a developing personality than an average state school.

Attila Kálmán (former state secretary and former secular president of the Synod) reminded: once there had been a thousand reformed schools in Hungary. He also added that after the transition of the regime education was restarted in more than a hundred schools.
