More than 1500 packs of smuggled cigarettes were confiscated in Debrecen.
Customs officers have checked a suspicious luxury car in Debrecen. During the checking, they have found more than 1500 packs of cigarettes hidden in various parts of the vehicle. The explanation of the owner of the car was inadequate; the woman said the she had found the cigarettes near road no. 4 and that she wanted to take all of them to the customs administration.
Customs officers did not believe the smuggler lady’s story, so the cigarettes and the car were confiscated.
A procedure was initiated against the woman on reasonable suspicion of fraud.
