The Hungarian Meteorology Service has issued red alerts because of snowdrift for 14 Hungarian counties.
Red weather alerts were issued for Pest, Baranya, Bács-Kiskun, Békés, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Csongrád, Győr-Moson-Sopron, Hajdú-Bihar, Heves, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok, Nógrád, Somogy, Tolna and Veszprém counties.
According to the Meteorology Service, snowing continues throughout the day. The highest temperatures will be around -8 and -2 Celsius degrees and lowest will be between -13 and -8 Celsius degrees.
