The old dream of those who live here is fulfilled. Road construction has begun on Portörő Street, said László Pósán, Member of Parliament. The investment costs HUF 64.3 million gross.
During the works, in addition to the 346-meter-long asphalt pavement, a 154-meter-long rainwater drainage system was also installed in the street. The road will be 4.75 meters wide, with plenty of one-meter-wide curbs on both sides.
Although we had to wait a long time for the start of the works because the transfer of the plots of land needed to widen the road by the owners living here has been completed by now, everyone was pleased that the reconstruction of the street had begun, said László Pósán.
László Papp, the mayor of Debrecen and László Türk also held a press conference at the site, where it turned out that a contractor would have to perform on Portörő Street in 9 months according to the contract. The investment costs HUF 64.3 million gross.
László Papp said that: the Debrecen 2030 program provides an opportunity for the population to start road construction on the initiative. His words revealed that work had begun on 27 streets, but the “attack” would begin during the fall.
