The Hungarian Meteorology Service says that the lowest temperature was -15,9 Celsius degrees in Nyírlugos on 30 November 2018.
However, this is not a record: on 30 November 1925, the lowest temperature hit -22 Celsius degrees in Jászberény.
The average temperature in Hungary was -7,6 Celsius degrees yesterday night.
Weather forecasts say that, for the time being, really cold weather is over. The highest temperatures could hit 10 Celsius degrees in the next few days.
