By noon on Monday, Hungary’s immigration authority had registered 4,444 asylum applications since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war.
Every person fleeing the war is receiving all possible help and the authority’s staff are working continually to provide them with the requisite residence documents, the authority said in a statement.
