According to MTI, the Court of Szeged sentenced a German drug smuggler for eight and a half years in prison. The man tried to smuggle 19.5 kg of marijuana to Hungary in 2016.The German smuggler arrived to the customs at Röszke on the 7th of December 2016. The border police checked his car with special dogs and they found more than 19 kg of marijuana under the car’s back seats.
This amount of drugs is above the lower limit of significant quantity. The defendant and his defense filed an appeal against the judgement of the court.
