The 3,500-square-meter factory hall of a plastics processing company in Pécs is on fire, a spokesman for the Baranya County Disaster Management Directorate told MTI.
Nikolett Csilla Horváth said that a fire broke out at night in a facility in the suburbs, for which professional firefighters from Pécs, Komló and Siklós were alerted. Forty firefighters arrived in 13 vehicles and are constantly extinguishing the fire. They managed to prevent the flames from spreading further.
According to the available information, no personal injury has occurred so far. The mobile laboratory for disaster management is constantly measuring the composition of the air, and no harmful substances requiring further action have been found so far.
