Kevin Varga returned to the Debrecen VSC football team, which announced the acquisition of the player on its website on Thursday.
The 13-time national team player moved from Hajdúság to the Turkish top teams in 2020, where he first played for Kasimpasa and then for Hatayspor, but he wanted to leave the latter because he was given few opportunities to play.
The 26-year-old winger had been in Hungary since January, so he was not at the scene last Monday when Turkey and Syria were hit by a severe earthquake. In a video published on the club’s website, Kevin Varga reported that the sports director and one of the players of his former club, who had withdrawn from the continuation of the Turkish championship due to the natural disaster, have not yet emerged from the ruins.
DVSC, which is in fifth place in the OTP Bank League, did not say how long Varga signed for.
